National Board for Professional Teaching Standards
The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards were written with the mission of advancing the quality of teaching and learning. These rigorous standards describe what an accomplished teacher should know and be able to do. The National Board's Five Core Propositions for Teaching "underscore the accomplished teacher's commitment to advancing student achievement."
